In the 70s, I read most of his visionary work, like "The World Inside" about a unique approach to overpopulation. "Nightwings" about the downfall of hubris, followed by renewal of purpose. Lord Valentine's Castle in 1980 was a masterpiece that should be read many times.The short story collection dates from the 60s - 80s. Some very good, and thematically connected to the work I mention above. Some not so good, and probably should have stayed in the back.
It's all worth a read.
